The Taliban want to establish favorable relations with all countries, but especially Turkey, the Taliban’s spokesperson Suhail Shahin said, Sabah reports.

“The Turks are Muslim, and they are our brothers and sisters. We would like to have very close ties with Turkey,” Shahin said, adding that the Taliban want to cooperate with Turkey in all sectors. “We not only want strong ties, but also fraternal ties,” Shahin said, calling on Turkish businessmen to come to Afghanistan and launch investment programs. Shahin also stated that Turkish investments in Afghanistan will contribute to further development of the relations between Turkey and Afghanistan.
